Last night I took my newly turned 14 year old and her friends to see Star Wars - The Rise of Skywalker (no spoilers here) which was a lot of fun. A little something for every one. Now on to Christmas.
I know many of you are in the midst of holiday prep - I hope it’s going well. I offer this - wherever possible SIMPLIFY.
It’s amazing how we can go into over drive during the holidays. I’m wondering is it possible to down shift this year and not take it all on by yourself?
This year I bought the tree and set it up for others to decorate. I arranged a photo when we were at an event and used FB to distribute instead of snail mail (sorry Aunt Connie!) and this year were are ordering out to make our holiday meal stress free.
I still play the Yule Log and dance. I still buy presents (1 day power shopping). But this year when others offer to help I let them. It’s liberating.
So whatever you celebrate - The Solstice, Hannukah, Kwanzaa - enjoy and keep it simple and more joy filled.
